Pennsylvania-Specific Wilderness Rules
No designated wilderness in Pennsylvania. Dispersed camping in Allegheny NF is free with no permit but must be 1,500 feet from developed recreation areas. Delaware Water Gap NRA backcountry camping is free with registration. Black bears common statewide — use bear boxes where provided or hang food 10 feet high.
