Additional Notes: Wyoming's North Platte River corridor is one of the most important staging areas in the Central Flyway for tundra swans, with tens of thousands stopping at Pathfinder and Glendo reservoirs each November. Canada and white-fronted geese are abundant throughout the state's river valleys and agricultural areas during fall migration. The state offers tundra swan hunting by permit lottery, one of the few inland states to do so. Wyoming's high-altitude marshes and wetlands provide unique habitat for green-winged teal, mallard, and gadwall during early season.
