Extensive list: beaches, parks, bars, restaurants, hospitals, medical clinics, pharmacies, churches, schools, government buildings, financial institutions, polling places, public transit, hotels, sporting events, entertainment venues, museums, public gatherings — essentially all public places
Note: Federal law also prohibits carry in federal facilities, federal courthouses, and other locations regardless of state law. Always check both state and federal restrictions.

Hawaii-Specific CCW Information
Hawaii enacted Act 52 in 2023 to create one of the broadest sensitive location lists in the US following the Bruen decision. Ongoing litigation over Act 52. Hawaii does not honor any other state's carry permits. Open carry is prohibited. CCW valid for only 2 years. Geographic isolation and culture make Hawaii a uniquely restrictive carry environment.
